Pat Garvey RHU
Vice President/ Employee Benefits Specialist
Pat is Vice President of Group Marketing with a focus on sales development with his producer team and managing a commercial clientele. He is a Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) and a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU). Pat currently serves on the board of Delta Dental Plan of Nebraska.
Specializing in group insurance of all kinds including self-funding premium contracts, Pat’s extensive experience has allowed the development of long-range strategic benefit planning for his clients.
A 1976 graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Pat has a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. He began his career working for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Ann Arbor, MI, before returning to his home state of Nebraska, where he finished up his biology career with Nalco Environmental Science in Lincoln, NE. Pat then began his career in the insurance and healthcare field. In 1989 he partnered with his brother, joining Garvey & Associates, employee benefit solutions.
Pat was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, but has been a Nebraska native since the early 1950s. He is an avid bass fisherman, and likes to restore “muscle cars” (vintage Mopar automobiles from the late 60s and early 70s.) He has raced motorcycles and dirt bikes and enjoys trail riding. A unique hobby led to winning a competition in 1989 as Best All-Around Taxidermist in Nebraska. Pat is married with three grown children.
