Mike Garvey
President
Mike founded Garvey & Associates in 1982. His responsibilities include growth and management of the Company. In addition, he provides advisory and support planning for employee benefit key accounts.
After earning bachelors degree from Creighton University, Mike entered the financial services industry with New York Life in 1977. During his tenure with NYL, he received extensive training in employee benefits and individual financial services.
Founding Garvey & Associates enabled Mike to provide independent brokerage products and services to his rapidly growing clientele. Simultaneously, he developed a strategic partnership and broker/dealer relationship with Financial Network Investment Corporation and obtained the Registered Representative FINRA registrations Series 6, 22, 63 and 65. This provided an excellent advanced training environment for financial planning and qualified plans which continues to this day.
Mike holds life and health insurance licenses in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri, as well as the NASD Series 6, 63 and 65 licenses. He is a registered representative of Securities America Inc. and an investment advisory representative of Securities America Advisors. He is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and the National Association of Health Underwriters, for which he served on the Board of Directors in 2003 and the Industrial Relations Committee in 2005. He is also a member of the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau.
